This holiday season Carolina Winds Resort is teaming together with Toys for Tots to collect new, unwrapped toys for children in need. Those booking with us will able to donate in a variety of ways. One option is by adding on a donation while booking, either online or on the phone. This is great for guests who won’t be in Myrtle Beach during the fundraiser but who would like to make a donation. The second way is by donating a dollar or more during the check-in process. This is perfect for guests who are coming for a Myrtle Beach vacation during the holidays. The third way is by dropping off a new toy. Just be sure not to wrap it! These toys can be dropped off any time at our resort.
This is not the first year Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts have helped with this worthy cause. Last year Vacation Myrtle Beach contributed and raised over $2,000 in cash donations and collected three truck loads of toys.
The local Toys for Tots chapter, located in Murrells Inlet, assists thousands of children in needs each year. According to the most recent census data, 21.4% of people living in Myrtle Beach are below the poverty level as compared to 16.4% for the state and according to The Annie E. Casey Foundation Kids Count Data Center’s most recent information, more than 25% of children in Horry County are living in households that fall below the poverty level. These numbers are heartbreaking and show how great the need is in our area.
Join together with us and make a donation this holiday season to help a child in need who may otherwise get little to none this Christmas.
